Who we are

Co-Founders Brent Craig and Dr. Mark Long are fathers, and are blessed to still have their parents in their lives.

Through experience, they saw a need for seniors, where support and resources that should be available just aren’t there from a truly trusted, quality company.

So they wanted to change that. And Seniors at Home is their way of doing just that.

“We will make our service offerings available for all seniors living alone, with their partners, or with other family members across the country, because it will make an enormous difference in their lives.”

Mark Long, owns a property management company and manages the trades services and maintenance himself. He has worked alongside elderly and seniors for home maintenance and is highly trusted.

Mark’s mother of 66 moved into her own home across the road from him and his family. She needed home maintenance support from fixing a heat pump, to cleaning the moss from the exterior, to jobs as simple as changing a smoke alarm or dusting the top of the curtains.

“These tasks needed some agility, a little expertise, the right tools, and a safety mindset to make her home feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free. It was a privilege tome able to provide that to her”.

Property maintenance is something Brent has always done and enjoyed. As a young lad he helped his dad paint the house, and mend the fences.

When visiting family or grandparents, Brent and his dad would often be asked to help with repairs; “of course I'd be the one sent up to the roof to clear the gutters or to crawl into the loft - it taught me a lot about what it takes to keep your house in order”.

All of these are lessons Brent has now applied to each home he’s lived in, and which has led to a successful career in property maintenance.

Mark and Brent both see with their own parents, how it's becoming harder to maintain their own homes, and how much help they need to keep on top of it.

They also see the significant costs other trades are quoting, and charging, for work that they complete with greater value.

They see the importance of helping YOU stay in the home that you and your family know, and love, to live in.

Our aim is to support seniors to live more independently - “It is one of the most important things, experiencing freedom in a safe and supportive manner within your own home”.
